August 1: Ribfest Committee talking about Ribfest 2025
The Pretzel Shack Vocational Visit
The Pretzel Shack is not just about pretzels!  They have a wide variety of German desserts and breads.

We got to sample the pretzels, which were delicious!  We got to learn about the operations of the bakery, how they do long fermentation on all their bread dough and why that is so important. If you haven't been I would highly recommend going first thing in the morning so that you have the best selection of goods.  There are two locations, the one in Stony Plain (4305 50 St Ste 103) and one in Spruce Grove (115 First Ave Unit 101).

Thanks Pretzel Shack for having us there for a vocational visit.
Rotary Ride for You Can Ride 2

The 4th Annual Rotary Ride for you can ride 2 is set for August the 17th

Join us on August 17, 2024, for the annual Rotary Ride, a community motorcycle event dedicated to supporting You Can Ride 2. This remarkable charity provides adaptive bikes to children with disabilities, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to experience the joy and freedom of riding a bike. We Ride our motorcycles to raise money for their opportunities to ride adaptive bikes.  Over the years, our Rotary Ride has brought together Motorcycle enthusiasts even during covid restrictions. We have raised in excess of $15,000 and with this coming ride put on over 1000KM of seat time for the charity and have had a ton of fun doing it.  Each ride has been a celebration of community spirit, generosity, and the transformative power of giving back.
Don't miss out on this chance to make a difference! Mark your calendars and get ready to join the ride for a great cause.  We will be looking for poker stop volunteers and other support positions for the day of the ride.  Organizing committee fireside is July 19, at 53 Fairway Drive (Ricks House).  Contact Chair Rick Lystang to find out how you can participate and help out.
Agra Fair Volunteers Needed
August 24th and 25th the Spruce Grove and District Agricultural Society will be holding their annual Agra Fair. This event has been a staple in our community for decades and has recently seen a revitalization in 2022. This year's event promises to be another great one that many in the community will enjoy as they do our Ribfest.

There are two elements to this that are relevant to our Rotary Club:
