Fourth Annual Grove Rotary Ribfest
Father's Day Weekend!

Ribfest is back June 14-16, 2024. Come to Central Park in Spruce Grove for a weekend of great eats, great drinks, great music, and a great family fun. All proceeds support the community improvement projects of the Rotary Club of Spruce Grove and its partners.

This year's festival will feature three rib trucks plus many more local food vendors.  A lineup of excellent local bands will take the stage over the three days, and Saturday will feature a family fair hosted by the Spruce Grove Public Library as well as a massive vendor market in the Spruce Grove Curling Club.

Darkness Into Light Walk: Volunteers Needed
From Judy K:

Our Darkness Into Light Walk will take place in the EARLY morning of Saturday, May 11 at Victoria Park in Edmonton. Proceeds raised will go the CSPP… the Co-ordinated Suicide Prevention Program…. here in our three municipalities.

Several Rotarians have volunteered previously and / or walked the 5 km. walk. (It's not a run.)

Could you ask the Club for volunteers? I still need a few.

Volunteers need to arrive at the Park by 3:00 a.m. (Yes, 3:00 a.m.) You can be back home in bed by 6:30 or so.

It’s an amazing experience… 5 km. literally lined with tea lights… in the quiet of the River Valley… to support those who are struggling with mental health issues and to support those who are trying to survive the loss of a loved one to suicide. As you finish the walk, the sun rises, a sign of hope for all participants.

Meryl and myself can give any other information anyone might want about volunteering or taking part in the walk.

Thanks
